Her career took off after she auditioned for "Big Brother", the Indian version of the reality show "Big Brother". She soon became a permanent member of the show and was one of its most popular contestants. This led to other TV shows such as "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai", "Taj Mahal", and "Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai". Her first experience as an actor was in the movie "Nanni", starring Dulquer Salmaan, which released on 7 October 2010. She essayed the role of Manisha, a top model who gets pregnant by her agent. Then she appeared in the blockbuster movie "Kabhi Haan Kabhie Naa" alongside Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Irrfan Khan and Anushka Sharma. She played the role of a Pakistani girl. She appeared in the Bollywood movie "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" along with Salman Khan, Asin and Sallu's pet dog Tina. In the movie, she repeated her item number "Tujhe Bhula Diya" from "Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya". She also starred in the Telugu film "Aata". In 2011, she made her Tamil debut in Vikraman's comedy movie titled Sivakami starring alongside G. V. Prakash Kumar and Delhi Ganesh playing Delhi Ganesh's sister role. The film was a commercial success at the box office.
